Pure Honeycomb

Natural product built by bees to store honey and pollen or to host their larvae and consists of a series of hexagonal cells that contain raw honey.

Being unfiltered, this honey has a more structured texture than the one in the can, the honeycomb can also contain traces of pollen, propolis and royal jelly even if only in small quantities.

The whole honeycomb is edible, both the honey and the waxy cells that surround it. The wax cells can in fact be chewed like a gum.

It is rich in carbohydrates, antioxidants and traces of many other nutrients and they supply small quantities of proteins, vitamins and minerals.

How to use:

Once opened, the package can be broken and chewed or melted in the mouth like a classic candy. The wax is generally not ingested but is still edible.

It is considered safe to eat; however, as it contains honey, it is at risk of contamination by C. botulinum spores, harmful to pregnant women and children under 12 months of age.

In addition, people suffering from allergies to bee poison or pollen should pay attention to the consumption of products derived from bees, including honey in the honeycomb, as they could cause allergic reactions.
