The cooperative
The Coop. La Quercia Grande since 2004 operates in the field of Rural and Sustainable Tourism in the area of the Sicani Mountains.
It manages the Hermitage of S. Rosalia, a seventeenth-century structure in the centuries-old Quicquina oak forest, with activities of guidance, creation of events and tastings of typical products and recipes.
It manages the Albergo Diffuso Quisquina, a network of houses in the historic center of the country, ideal for experiencing the peace of the country, its flavors, its traditions with cooking classes and visits to farms.
With the Amici del Trekking sui Sicani Group, it offers daily treks, w-e and weekly visits, excursions and gastronomic trekking programs; among its guides also Trekking N.W. and tutor of the Santa Rosalia Way - Itinerarium Rosaliæ, a 182-kilometer route that connects the two caves of Quisquina and Monte Pellegrino.
It makes educational tours of environmental education with schools.
The products offered are souvenirs related to the territory and especially to Santa Rosalia.
They are principally not handicraft products, only some in part, but they are appreciated by those looking for a memory of the place or by those who are particularly linked to Santuzza.
