Caciotta Cheese of about 500 g

 

Artisanal Smoked Caciotta Cheese

Spun paste cheese made from unpasteurized cow's milk, with the addition of only rennet, salt and aroma smoke liquid.

Aged for about 4-5 days, it is amber-yellow in color with a slightly puff-pastry rind as in artisanal production. The taste is sweet but tasty, with a smoky aftertaste, given by the uncontaminated pastures of Sicily right at the foot of the Quisquina Hermitage.
